Artist Statement: Dreamcatcher Illustration

IZZY's song “Dreamcatcher” evoked more feelings than obvious visuals for me. The way I heard it, the song has a comforting, feminine energy. I related to it as being wrapped in the warmth of love, as a child. Visually, I represented that feeling as a young boy, submerged in water. The troubles are weightless and have left his body. He allows the comforting energy to envelop him and bring him peace.

Bio:

Sean Petrilak is a Los Angeles native, raised in the animation industry. He now lives in Los Angeles, working in the animation industry. Go figure. What sets him apart is his ability to take high-concept ideas and translate them into entertaining pieces that can actually work in a film or on-stage. 

Sean has worked for Warner Bros., Nickelodeon, Titimouse, Disney, and Film Roman. His client list includes top talent in the music industry, major network studio producers, and film producers for every kind of content. 

He lives with his wife, two boys, two dogs, two tortoises, who knows how many koi fish, and way too many hobbies.
